Julie’s career path in the banking and real estate industry began at an early age when, at the age of 18, she was a teller for BM Behrends Bank in Juneau. After graduating with a BA from California State University, Fresno, Julie began her successful 40-year career in California and Washington as a Mortgage Loan Originator and Mortgage Software Technician. In 2001, after returning to her hometown of Juneau, she rounded out her knowledge of the real estate industry as the Manager/Underwriter for a local bank and managed a local Title Company.

These include the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), and the CIPS Designations. CIPS (Certified International Real Estate Specialist) is a worldwide network of elite global real estate practitioners with expertise in working with international clients as well as serving the growing multicultural population of the United States. In 2012, Julie also became a certified Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), adding further knowledge and professional expertise to help 50+ home buyers and sellers make informed transitional decisions for their future.
Julie enjoys quilting, reading, extensive travel with her husband, spending time with her 6 children and grandchildren, as well as hanging out with her sweet Vizsla pup named Ellie.
